Bringing plays to the airwaves.

Small theaters all over the country have been shuttered due to COVID-19, leaving playwrights with nowhere to produce our plays. The Open-Door Playhouse is a new podcast that supports new and emerging writers by producing plays in the style of the live Radio Plays popular in the 1940s & 50s.

“I got to hear your play, Custody, last night. You did a wonderful job giving it all the elements any good play needs: playful moments, conflict, heartbreak. Lovely. And I liked the Italian peppered in there!  Also great production values.  Clean, intimate sound! Well done! “

“Wabi Sabi...With everything going on in the world, we need a story like this. Thanks so much for producing it for a wide audience!”

“Custody reminds us of what we've overcome and what the LGBTQ community stands to lose.”

“Beethoven and Misfortune Cookies..BRAVA BERNADETTE!!! You guys have pulled it off! We are so happy. Amir captured Kabin's brilliance, passion, and frustration, all of it beautifully.”

Beautiful direction, beautiful production! “
