Synopsis:
A yearslong battle that involved a notorious baseball manager, a marshmallow salesman, and a few swinging punches comes to a resolution at a dive bar in Pennsylvania.

Mimi Kmet has directed several short plays, including Matriarch, an Open-Door Playhouse production that she wrote. She also wrote and directed Leap and Fence, which were produced at Theatre West, where she is a company member. In addition, she has performed in a variety of original plays, short films, and cabarets and has written and performed stand-up comedy. Besides Theatre West, Mimi is also a member of The Group Rep.

Selected acting credits include The Comedy of Errors (Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Portland), Unseen Shepherd (Edinburgh Fringe Festival - The Space on the Mile), Tir Na nOg (The Magic Theatre, San Francisco), Unfinished American Highwayscape’s, 9 and 32, Mother Courage and Her Children, and Tartuffe (theatre@Boston Court, Pasadena), Oscar (The Kennedy Center, Washington D.C.), and most recently, Once (Rubicon Theatre, Ventura), among others. He is a member of Theatre Banshee in Burbank. Recent films include Mistake (currently making the rounds at a film festival near you), The Whisperer in Darkness and Something Strange.
Matt received his education and training from The California Institute of the Arts. And, when not acting, Matt can be heard playing flute, Irish penny whistle, harmonica, and mandolin for the bands Slugger O Toole and The Johnny Come Latelys. Matt is a member of AEA and SAG/AFTRA.

Goreti da Silva as Barb
Since moving to Los Angeles from Canada, Goreti da Silva has worked in many films, tv programs, theatre, and improv shows. Most recently, you may have seen her on Big Little Lies, a Toyota commercial, or heard her voice in one of many radio plays on Opendoorplayhouse.org.
Goreti was awarded The Michael Grossman Most Inspirational Award for her body of theatre work in the Desert, and she won the Valley Theatre Award for her work in “Park Plays: Portland”.
When not performing, Goreti fills her "well" by teaching Improv, Theatre Arts, Playwriting, and Acting to underserved youth who write plays in which they later perform. Though Goreti has produced and directed dozens of plays, she continues to be surprised, delighted and inspired by our next generation of leaders.

Gary B. Lamb as the Cop
Gary B. Lamb trained at L.A. City College Theatre Academy, University of California at Irvine, and Carnegie Mellon University. He wrote the book and lyrics for a musical version of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, the book for the musical Fion the Fair, the lyrics for Chicago Christmas Carol, and an adaptation of I’m Just Wild About Harry. Additionally, Gary assisted Barry Gordon and his partner with additional book and lyrics for a new musical based on Oscar Wilde’s The Picture of Dorian Gray. Gary has acted in and directed many plays for Open-Door Playhouse.
