Synopsis:
Carol is a street poet, cranking out poems on her typewriter for a dollar per poem. She encounters several people who buy her wares, including one who offers her a path to elevate her craft.

Christine Uhebe as Carol
Christine Uhebe was born in Juiz de Fora, Brazil and started her acting career when she lived in Florence, Italy. Since moving to Los Angeles, Christine has been working tirelessly to further her career, beginning her journey studying at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute. Upon graduating she was cast in Distant Vision, directed by the visionary Francis Ford Coppola.
On stage, Christine has appeared as Cecilia in the sold out performance of María Irene Fornés' Fefu and her Friends, at the historic Hollyhock House. She also played Beth in Berndatte Armstrong's Simple Lives, as well as Inez in the World Premiere of Affluence at Theatre 40 in Beverly Hills.
She appeared in The Rookie opposite Eric Winter, Lazareth opposite Ashley Judd, and the final season of Seal Team opposite David Boreanaz. Christine's voice career has taken off since appearing as the Brazilian “La Portia” opposite Wil Wheaton in the Facebook Watch Original Rival Speak. Her most prized credit to date has been voicing Nina Da Costa in Marvel's X-Men '97.

Rosemary Thomas as Noreen
As an actor, writer, and part-time producer, Rosemary is now finding time to practice living life from a conscious, peaceful, and grateful perspective. In the TV arena, her most recent appearance was on Better Things. She’s done several National commercials, shorts, and a few films. Her first theater performance was playing Rose in Fences. She’s a proud member of SkyPilot Theatre Co., a volunteer member of Los Angeles Women’s Theatre Festival and so pleased to be involved with Open-door Playhouse.

Hessel Evelaar as Luca Diaz
Hessel Jacob Evelaar was born in The Netherlands to Henk Evelaar and Jacqueline Evelaar. He started acting in regional theatre at a very young age, and made it television debut in 2006 in the children's television show Willem Wever. Due to the economic recession in The Netherlands, Hessel moved with his family to the city state Singapore, where we was scouted by the commercial modeling agency IModels and shot print work for Sony-Ericsson and starred in national commercials. Hessel never stopped doing theatre, and starred in multiple regional plays.
When he graduated from the International Baccalaureate in Singapore, Hessel moved back to the Netherlands to study Business Administration at the Free University of Amsterdam, but knowing his heart wasn't in business, he moved quickly to Los Angeles to study acting full time at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.
Hessel has since starred in a multitude of short films, commercials, and had his American theatre debut in LAPC's production of For This Moment Alone by Marcia Kash.

A graduate of North Carolina Central University, Justice Davis is an actor based in Los Angeles, California. Beginning his acting career during the pandemic, he has experience both on-camera and in voice-over. Previously in Hands from the Fire and Metro, Whitesville, Breakable, The Final Battle, Garage Invasion, and Fat and Fiction.
